CODE OF ETHICS

CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF MORTGAGE BROKERS

We, the members of the California Association of Mortgage Brokers, pledge to maintain and to improve the standards of our profession. We are dedicated to conducting business in a fair, competent, and truthful manner and no inducement of profit nor influence from others can ever justify departure from the standards set forth herein.

We acknowledge the profound impact, which our conduct has upon our clients’ welfare. We accept responsibility for the fact that our clients rely on the accuracy and honesty of our guidance in the disposition of assets, which may represent a major portion of their lifetime savings. Beyond this, we see that in providing the finest service attainable, we will earn the confidence and trust that we as mortgage brokers value. Not only do we hold our association’s reputation for integrity and honor in high esteem, but we further pledge to protect and enhance it.

Recognizing the value of our continuing quest for excellence, we willingly agree to share our experience and knowledge among ourselves for the enhancement of our association, our profession, and ultimately for the benefit of the public at large.

Because we take pride in our work and its results, we pledge to abide by and to conduct our business by the principles set forth in the Code of Ethics.

While the Code of Ethics establishes obligations that may be higher than those mandated by law, in any instance where the Code of Ethics and the law conflict, the obligations of the law must take precedence.
